Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale
Contact person(s) for the annual April Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale in Hutchinson, KS, at the State Fair grounds, attend meetings during the winter and inform the congregation of current information regarding the Relief Sale. Many volunteers are needed to help with the sale from donating items to sell or auction, to baking, to helping serve meals at the Relief Sale. More information can be found here.
Mennonite Central Committee Meat Canning
The MCC Mobile Meat Canner has been canning meat since 1946 throughout the United States and Canada. Thousands of volunteers in many different communities help can meat to be used in relief, development, and peace work. Newton is one of those communities that cans meat every year in October. Every year we need volunteers to help can the meat and money is need to buy meat and ship it to where it is needed. This is one way MCC helps meet human needs.
